Illustrated below are some of the E.F.T. (Emotional Freedom Technique) tapping points that I have used and have had great success with on myself, my children and my clients (see the Testimonials Page).
E.F.T. is a new type of healing tool that has been termed "energy psychology" and is still in the experimental stages and needs to used with caution, more information can be found at
www.emofree.com. It has greatly helped my children, my clients, my friends and myself with insomnia, ADD, anger, saddness, and many other negative emotions.
In short E.F.T. helps to reduce the anxiety with a specific issue.
The strategy is to use your fingertips to lightly tap on the specified locations while saying a statement that addresses the issue but also has a positive ending affirmation.
One can use this technique on themselves or their children. If it is used on a child the parent/adult lightly taps 7-10 times, on these locations with the fingertips and at the same time states a phrase.
Examples of statements include:
"Even though I have a headache, I completely love and accept myself."
"Even though I'm afraid of the dark, I completely love and accept myself."
"Even though I have a runny nose, I completely love and accept myself."
"Even though I can't sleep, I completely love and accept myself."
"Even though I'm too excited, I completely love and accept myself."
"Even though I don't understand, I'm a good kid and love myself."
The statements are to be short and simple. The statement is to be repeated at every location (figures 1-2) show below. One can decide to go through all the locations more than once and you can contact me for more detailed instructions and guidance through the process.
